TOLEDO, Ohio, December 9, 2021 – The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority is a recipient of a $7 million grant awarded through the Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) Maritime Assistance Program (MAP). These grant funds will allow the Port Authority to purchase a new bulk material conveyor system at the Port of Toledo’s general cargo facility, operated by Midwest Terminals of Toledo. The grant will also provide additional funding for the terminal’s ongoing dock wall rehabilitation and liquid transloading project, which has been impacted by recent increases in material and labor costs.

TOLEDO, Ohio, March 18, 2021 – The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority is proud to welcome a new Amazon Air gateway at Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport (TOL). Amazon Air’s Toledo Gateway is anticipated to create more than 50 new jobs and will service daily flights, supporting fast, free shipping for Amazon customers in Ohio and throughout the region. Amazon’s first plane arrived at TOL last night at 10:36 p.m. and departed TOL at 8:57 a.m. this morning.

TOLEDO, Ohio, February 19, 2021 – The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) announced yesterday the award of a $2.4 million CARES Act Recovery Assistance Grant to the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority to create a Revolving Loan Fund for businesses in Northwest Ohio. The EDA grant will be matched with $600,000 in local investment in establishing a $3 million loan fund.

TOLEDO, Ohio, January 28, 2021 – The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority has provided $44.46 million in financing in 2020 to various organizations across the region through its multiple financing programs. A total of 11 Small Business Administration and Ohio Regional 166 Loans were closed totaling $7.46 million, setting a record for the most loans closed in one year at the Port Authority. A total of 105 new jobs were created with these loans. The Port Authority also saw a record year with the issuance of $37 million for five separate projects, within its Northwest Ohio Bond Fund (rated A- by Standard & Poor’s).
