TOLEDO, Ohio, October 1, 2020 – The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority has been awarded $568,125 from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) through the Maritime Assistance Program (MAP) for two projects at the Port of Toledo. The grant funds provide 50 percent of the total project costs that will be matched by local funds. The first project is the acquisition of a Tier-4 heavy-lift forklift in the amount of $235,000, which will be utilized at the General Cargo Dock, operated by Midwest Terminals. The forklift will be used to handle steel coils and other heavy and oversized cargo regularly handled at the terminal. The remaining $333,125 will fund the construction of a retaining wall and other improvements around the dry docks at the Toledo Shipyard, operated by IRONHEAD Marine.

Toledo Express Airport Awarded $9.8 Million Grant from U.S. Department of Transportation

Port Authority Receives $16 Million Port Infrastructure Development Grant from MARAD

TOLEDO, Ohio, February 14, 2020 – The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority received today a $16 million grant awarded through the United States Maritime Administration (MARAD) Infrastructure Development Grant Program. These grant funds will allow the Port Authority to reconstruct and upgrade the dockwall at the Port of Toledo’s General Cargo Dock, operated by Midwest Terminals, and will also be used to construct a liquid transloading facility at the site.

Toledo Express Airport Reports 1.69 Percent Increase in Passenger Traffic for 2019

TOLEDO, Ohio, January 22, 2020 – The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority welcomed 2020 with another year of positive growth and momentum at Toledo Express Airport (TOL). The airport closed out 2019 with a 1.69 percent increase in overall passengers for the year. A total of 245,389 passengers flew through TOL in 2019, which helped drive the airport’s seventh consecutive year-over-year increase in passenger traffic and marks the highest passenger total at the airport since 2008.
