Toledo Express Airport Reports 11.65 Percent Increase In Passenger Enplanements For 2014
TOLEDO, Ohio, January 16, 2015 – The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority welcomed 2015 with positive growth and momentum at Toledo Express Airport (TOL). The airport closed out 2014 with an 11.65 percent increase in passenger enplanements and an increase in overall passengers of 10.83 percent for the year. A total of 176,545 passengers made the choice to fly through TOL in 2014, which helped drive the airport’s second consecutive year-over-year double digit increase in passenger traffic. Port Authority reports for December 2014 show that overall passenger traffic at TOL was up 4.5 percent over the same month in 2013. December marked the airport’s twenty-first month of increased passenger traffic since 2013.

Allegiant carried 94,726 total passengers in 2014, a 17.02 percent increase over the previous year. American Airlines, whose passenger totals were up 4.27 percent for the year, carried 79,337 passengers between TOL and Chicago O’Hare Airport. 2014 marked the second consecutive year of double-digit increased passenger growth at TOL. Passenger traffic in 2013 was up 11 percent over 2012.
