PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER – PART-TIME

The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority seeks a part-time Public Safety Officer to perform duties related to airport security and the safety and security of persons and facilities at the Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport, to perform duties consistent with TSA 1540/1542 and FAA Part 139 regulations, including assisting with aircraft emergencies and snow removal operations, and to provide effective coordination with external government agencies as needed

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Certified law enforcement officer in the State of Ohio as determined by the Ohio Peace Officers Training Council, with two (2) years of law enforcement experience preferred. If not certified in the State of Ohio, must have the ability and willingness to obtain such certification
  3. At least 21 years of age
  4. No Criminal Record

Wage at hire is $23.16 per hour.

PROJECT ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER

The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority seeks a full-time project Engineer / Project Manager to perform drafting and other technical assistance required to support the function of the Planning, Engineering, and Operations division, and to assist with the implementation and management of projects at all levels, including concepts, design, construction, and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor of Science degree in construction technology or engineering discipline;
  2. Knowledge of construction materials and methods, including building codes;
  3. At least two (2) years of construction inspection, project coordination and management experience, preferably with a government agency;
  4. Proficient in AutoCAD software;

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Certified as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio highly preferred;
  2. Completion of U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour course in construction or general industry safety and health hazards preferred;
  3. ArcView GIS knowledge and experience preferred;

Salary range at hire is $85,000-98,000 to be commensurate with credentials and experience, together with a comprehensive benefit package.

ARG FACILITIES MAINTENANCE WORKER

The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, through ARG Services, Inc., seeks a full-time Facilities Maintenance Worker to assist in maintaining and operating Port Authority facilities and equipment as directed by its Facilities Manager.

Qualifications include:

  • Technical/vocational degree or three (3) years of semi-skilled facility maintenance experience or closely related field.
  • Working knowledge of the Building Automated Systems (BAS).
  • Heavy equipment operation and mechanical experience.
  • Working knowledge of all functions of preventive maintenance.

Work Hours – 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.    

Wage Rate - $22.00 - $25.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
